Sierra has been providing software, systems integration, and test support to the
Government since 1981. In the early stages of the company we developed test and
data reduction software. We developed 3D displays in order to assist the
Government in reducing test data at field tests. As a result of the 3D display
software we developed, we were given a contract with the Navy to develop a Position
Location Reporting System (PLRS) display for Navy ships. Since then we have
assisted the Marine Corps in developing JMCIS segments, and the Army in rehosting
the Display of the Enhanced PLRS to a variety of Unix platforms. We have supported
various exercises such as JWID with software that would allow the military to display
Army and Marine Corps Tracks throughout the world using the system shown below.
Today we have software fielded in the Marine Corps, Army, and Navy.
